About this course
Embedded systems training goes beneath the convenience of beginner platforms. You learn how a microcontroller actually works: memory, registers, clocks, peripherals, interrupts and how firmware is structured so that it behaves predictably for years.
The course uses embedded C and practical peripheral work to build habits that carry over to any microcontroller family: reading datasheets, designing drivers, handling concurrency, testing and diagnosing failures.
Who is this course for?
- Electronics and electrical engineering students
- Learners aiming at embedded firmware roles
- Students who completed Arduino and want depth
- Professionals moving from software to hardware-near work
Eligibility
For learners with basic C programming and digital electronics. Exact eligibility is confirmed at enrollment.
Prerequisites recommended
Basic C programming and digital electronics concepts. Arduino experience is helpful.

These are example exercises and project concepts for this course, not a record of projects completed by past learners.
Outcomes, career directions and limits
Skills you should be able to demonstrate
- Write structured embedded C and reason about memory and timing
- Use interrupts and timers safely
- Develop and test peripheral drivers from datasheets
- Design firmware with clear layers and diagnosable failures
- Explain when to use bare-metal, RTOS or embedded Linux
Relevant career directions
- Embedded firmware trainee and test roles after further practice
- Hardware bring-up and validation support
- Foundation for automotive, industrial and consumer device development
What this course does not do
- A ten-week course establishes foundations; production firmware skill requires sustained project experience.
- Functional-safety standards and certification processes are not covered.
Career outcomes depend on your skills, portfolio, experience and employer requirements. No course can guarantee a job.

Do I need to buy a specific development board?
Board requirements are confirmed by the training team at enquiry and may depend on the batch.
How is this different from the Arduino course?
Arduino hides much of the hardware. This course works closer to the hardware and teaches transferable embedded skills such as interrupts, drivers and RTOS concepts.
Is embedded Linux covered in depth?
It is covered as an overview to help you choose the right approach. Deep embedded Linux development is a separate, longer topic.
